Large Capacity Solar Water Tank
Manufacturing & Supply

Large Capacity Solar Water Tank

Millionsun specializes in OEM and ODM manufacturing of large capacity solar water tanks for distributors, solar brands, EPC contractors, and project developers worldwide.

Tanks range from 1000L to 5000L and beyond, and can be used with solar collector arrays, heat pump systems, boiler backup, or electric heating elements.

Key Features & Performance

Pressurized tanks

for closed-loop solar systems, mains pressure & multi-story buildings.

Non-pressurized tanks

for open-vented, gravity-fed systems and cost-effective commercial projects.

Large Stainless-Steel Inner Tank

SUS304/316L stainless steel liner for commercial hot-water storage. Corrosion resistant under diverse water quality conditions.

Polyurethane Foam Insulation

100 mm one-shot foamed polyurethane insulation, reduces heat loss for large capacity tanks and retains water temperature longer.

Flexible Heating Options

Optional electric heating elements, internal heat exchanger coils for solar/boiler input, or storage-only tanks without built-in heating.

Commercial-Grade Build

Reinforced tank structure for long commercial service life. Painted steel outer shell with protective coating, suitable for indoor & outdoor installation.

Custom Connection Layouts

Inlet & outlet ports configurable to project specifications. Top, side and bottom connection options available.

There are two configurations to match different system designs and local regulations

Configuration How It Works Best For
Non-Pressurized
(Open-Vented)
Tank is open to the atmosphere. Water flows by gravity or pump. Lower cost, simpler construction. Budget projects, warm climates, open-loop solar systems
Pressurized
(Closed-Loop)
Tank is sealed. Delivers hot water at full mains pressure (0.6 MPa). Compatible with antifreeze systems. Multi-story buildings, cold climates, closed-loop solar systems

How the System Works

Solar Thermal System (Non-Pressurized)

Solar collectors heat water, which circulates to an open-vented storage tank by thermosyphon or pump. Hot water is supplied from the top, while cold water enters from the bottom.

Solar Thermal System (Pressurized)

Solar collectors heat antifreeze fluid in a closed loop. A heat exchanger transfers the heat to water in the pressurized tank, delivering hot water at full mains pressure.

Electric or Boiler Backup

Electric heating elements or boiler coils provide backup heating when solar energy is insufficient, ensuring a continuous hot water supply.

Commercial Hot Water Systems

Multiple tanks can be connected in series or parallel to increase storage capacity and meet high-demand commercial applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer OEM service?

Yes. We make tanks for your brand. Tank size, pressure rating, connections, and heating options — all customizable.

Standard sizes: 1000L, 2000L,3000L,5000L. Custom capacities 5000L above available for projects.

Pressurized tanks operate at 0.7 MPa and deliver mains-pressure hot water. Non-pressurized tanks are open-vented and require a pump for pressure. Choose based on your system design and local building codes.

Yes. Outdoor installation is possible with weather protection considerations.

Electric heating elements (acc to you requirement for large tanks), copper heat exchanger for solar or boiler input, or storage-only without internal heating.

One-stop procurement, product documentation, system design guidance, dimension drawings, and project support from our engineering team.
