| Partner type | Solar water heating contractor serving hotels and resorts |
| Product scope | Flat plate arrays and thermosyphon units |
| Our role | System layout support, frame fabrication, phased supply |
Case Overview
A Thai contractor serving hotels and resorts needed hot water for several buildings, on roofs of very different shapes and with limited free space. Some blocks suited large flat plate arrays feeding a central tank; others were better served by rows of thermosyphon units. Millionsun supported both approaches with layouts, frames and phased deliveries.

Client Requirements
For a hospitality contractor, the work is won on programme and on avoiding disruption to guests.
- Roof fit: frames adapted to sloped roofs, flat roofs and tight areas between plant equipment.
- Capacity planning: help matching the system size to hotel demand.
- Tropical weather: strong rain, humidity and very high roof temperatures.
- Phased installation: work completed block by block, to limit noise and disruption.
Our Solution
We split the supply into the two system types, building by building.
- Central array layouts: flat plate collectors piped in banks to a central tank, with layout drawings for each roof.
- Thermosyphon rows: stainless steel tank-and-collector units on frames, spaced to limit shading between rows.
- White-painted steel frames: cut and drilled to size for each building.
- Insulation and header kits: pre-cut insulation and marked flow and return headers.
- Phased shipments: deliveries split by building so the contractor could install one block at a time.

The Result

- Phased deliveries matched the contractor’s working programme, with less storage on site.
