Case Overview

On a small island, almost everything is imported, and a repeat shipment can take weeks. A local dealer serving villas and private homes wanted solar water heater kits that would last in salt air and hurricane season, and that they could support from a small local stock. Millionsun specified, built and kitted both split systems and compact thermosyphon units for this environment.

Client Requirements

The dealer’s business depends on not having to return to a roof for repairs, which are slow and costly on the island.

  • Salt-air durability: frames, fixings and tank exteriors that resist coastal corrosion.
  • Storm-ready fixings: mounting that can be tied down for high wind.
  • Two product formats: a split system with indoor tank, and a thermosyphon unit for simple flat-roof jobs, from the same supplier.
  • Local spares: a short, well-chosen parts list the dealer could hold on the island.

Our Solution

We adapted the export range to the environment, rather than shipping the standard model.

  • Marine-grade finishes: anodised aluminium frames, stainless fasteners and a tank exterior finish chosen for coastal use.
  • Tie-down brackets: extra fixing points on collector brackets and tank supports.
  • Split system pack: indoor stainless steel tank, pump station, controller and expansion vessel packed as one kit, so nothing needs to be sourced locally.
  • Dealer spares kit: controller, pump, sensors, relief valve and common fittings, packed with the first shipment.
  • Export packing: glass and tanks protected for container shipping and island transport.

OEM & private label

Your brand on tanks, collectors, cartons and manuals, built to your specification and tested before dispatch.

Parts & components

Controllers, pump stations, fittings and spare parts supplied with or after the shipment, so your crews are never stuck.

Technical support

Sizing and layout checks, installation drawings, training material and after-sales help for your engineers and installers.

The Result

The dealer now supplies both formats from one source, with the parts to repair them close at hand.

  • Specification for coastal conditions is built in at the factory, not retrofitted after problems.
  • Local spares cut repair time and protect the dealer’s reputation on a small island.
  • The dealer can quote a roof-mounted compact unit or an indoor-tank system without changing supplier.
